Precision Health Day conference
The Precision Health Day (Giornata della Salute di Precisione) was organised by the MeDiTech Institute in collaboration with other SUPSI institutes (IDSIA, ISIN) and the Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale (EOC) on the 28th of March 2025 in Lugano, Switzerland.
The event was a great success, focusing on applied research for precision health, on preventive, prognostic, diagnostic, and therapeutic applications in data science and AI, innovative medical devices, intelligent biomedical sensors and signal processing, image analysis, bioinformatics, ubiquitous health and telemedicine solutions.
It featured a keynote speech by Prof. Mihaela van der Schaar (University of Cambridge, UK) on “How AI can shape the future of medicine”, a clinical experts’ panel on “Precision health latest trends”, and a selection of oral and poster presentations of research work.
Media reporting about the event (all in Italian) included a radio interview on Radio Ticino’s Zero91 (at about 35’30”-39’30” on 26 March) and television interviews on RSI’s Quotidiano (at about 17’25”-20’50”, 28 March) and on Teleticino’s TicinoNews ore 12 (at about 10’10”-12’10”, 28 March).
