Precision Health Day 2026 – AI-enabled

The second Precision Health Day (Giornata della Salute di Precisione) with a focus on AI-enabled technology and interventions was organised by the MeDiTech Institute in collaboration with other SUPSI institutes (IDSIA, ISIN) and the Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale (EOC) on the 27th of March 2026 in Lugano, Switzerland. 

The event was also a success, focusing on applications of AI across various domains of prevention, prognosis, diagnosis, and therapy, with advances in: Telemedicine and ubiquitous healthcare solutions leveraging predictive algorithms, Data science and machine learning for clinical decision support, AI-powered medical devices and robotics, Intelligent biomedical sensors and advanced signal processing, Automated analysis of medical images, and AI-based bioinformatics for genomic and molecular profiling.

It featured a keynote speech by Prof. Stavroula Mougiakakou (University of Bern, Switzerland) on “Artificial Intelligence for Precision Nutrition: From Automated Dietary Assessment to Personalized Health Interventions”, a clinical experts’ panel on “Precision medicine in the clinical routine”, and a selection of oral and poster presentations of research work.
